Fire Fighting Equipment Servicing

At Absolute Health Services (AHS), we adhere strictly to South Africa National Standards (SANS) 1475 Part 1 & 2, ensuring the highest level of fire equipment servicing for businesses in Gauteng. As per local municipal by-laws and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, it is mandatory for all firefighting equipment to undergo accredited servicing every year.

AHS has partnered with First Aid Fire and Safety Training (FAFST), an accredited and registered SANS (SABS) firefighting equipment servicing company, to supply these services. Our technicians are SAQCC registered and well equipped to service a range of firefighting equipment including extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, and booster connections.

Upon completion of the servicing, your company will be issued a vital Certificate of Compliance (COC), a crucial document to be presented to your local insurance company or broker. This COC serves as proof that your firefighting equipment has been serviced in compliance with SANS 1475 Part 1 & 2.

In addition to the COC, AHS provides your company with a monthly check sheet for ongoing fire safety compliance. This resource empowers your fire wardens to efficiently conduct their monthly checks. Furthermore, you will also receive a firefighting equipment register, offering an overview of your equipment such as type, size, location, last servicing date, and next recommended servicing date.

According to SANS Part 1 and 2, stored pressure type (STP) fire extinguishers must undergo specialised pressure testing at least once every 5 years, while carbon dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishers require testing every 10 years. We outsource this specialised CO2 servicing, but our technicians are well-versed in advising you on the appropriate servicing requirements for all your fire extinguishers.

Trust AHS for compliant and reliable firefighting equipment servicing anywhere in Gauteng. Contact us today to schedule your servicing requirements.
